World Pregnancy Day

Every human life begins in the mother’s womb. We all came through this beginning and therefore with humbleness should we celebrate such a blessed condition and remind ourselves of its importance.

Join us and let’s celebrate together. It is a celebration of merging, patient awaiting and the miracle of birth. Some pregnancies remain yet unfulfilled wishes, others are “answered prayers” and yet others are unintended and surprising. During pregnancy one can experience joy, expectations, enthusiasm, soul connection, but also fear, apprehension and uncertainty. Regardless its form, pregnancy is nevertheless a condition of standstill, tenderness and miracles. The celebration of the World Pregnancy Day will take place under the auspices of the municipality of the city of Brno. Thank you.

About the project

Have you noticed that the calendar is full of days of importance reminding us of various historical events and days dedicated to various things and people? For example World Health Day,  International Earth Day, International Women’s Day, International Political Prisoners' Day, but also National Underwear Day, World Sparrow Day, Star Wars Day, World Turtle Day, Global Wind Day, International T-Shirt Day, World Gnome Day, National Zipper Day, World Toilet Day or even Towel Day, etc.?

And have you noticed that there is no World Pregnancy Day among these important days yet? We HAVE NOTICED and we intend to change it. So, we have decided to establish such a day. Because as we all know, the World Children’s Day, World Mother’s Day, World Father’s Day or World Family Day – none of these would make any sense without the preceding pregnancy. How can be such a day established? It is simply necessary to celebrate it regularly every single year, so that it becomes a tradition.

AND SO WE STARTED IN 2015 AND WE HAVE CONTINUED IN THIS TRADITION SINCE THEN.
WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR CELEBRATION TOGETHER WITH YOU.

And why 7th May?

Because this date falls within the perfect company J It is surrounded by days of similar importance and of similar meaning. Just look, how well it suits it among them J
